Tungsten Electrodes are used to provide the a smooth and exceptional finish when TIG Welding. Lanthanated electrodes are often used as a non-radioactive substitute for Thoriated tungsten. Using the proper tungsten allows for quality TIG welding where weld finish is critical Welders need to consider several factors when deciding which tungsten electrode is best for an application. Lanthanated tungsten has excellent arc starting, a low burnoff rate, good arc stability, and excellent re-ignition characteristics.
Works best at medium to high amperage range.
Available in rod sizes of 1.6mm, 2.4mm and 3.2mm.
